Attention: Because after the compound materials solidify, there will be ammonia iris on the surface, which affect the bonding strength afterwards. Please polish with sandpaper on all bonding surface.
Draw a line on the table
sand the edge of the tail balsa
Sand the gap for the hinge
lightly sand the face of the balsa with more fine sandpaper
Bond the fiberglass cloth into the tail balsa with 30min Z-poxy
cover the one side of the tail with film
folding the tail and cover the other side
Cut the covering of the tail
Sand the top surface of stabilizer mount, make sure it’s vertical to the side surface.
Sand the side surface, or you can make streamline as shown in the picture below.
Cover the tail boom with 300# sandpaper, then sand the groove of the stabilizer mount. Make sure that the groove is parallel to the fuselage, and parallel to the outside surface of the tail boom.
And after bond to the tail boom, the upper side of the mount should be parallel to the central line of the tail boom.
Fix the tail on your working board. Check the joint:
l The stabilizer is parallel to the center line of the tail boom, or it may have an angle of -1 degree.
l The hinge of the elevator is vertical to the tail boom.
l The center line of the tail boom is right in the middle of the stabilizer.
l The vertical tail is vertical to the stabilizer.
l The vertical tail is on the same surface as the center line of the fuselage.
l The hinge of the vertical tail is vertical to the center line of the tail boom.
Temporarily joint the vertical tail and the tail boom with C.A(ZAP)
bond the tail boom and the vertical tail from both side using fiberglass and epoxy. There is fiberglass in the accessories. And e-proxy 30min is recommended . When the epoxy is solidify, cut the unwanted fiberglass.
fix the screw on the fuselage ,and join the wing . draw line on the wing at both side of the screw
cut the foam
fill the hole wth 6min epoxy
when the epoxy is solidify, filing semi-circle slot on the epoxy
Temporarily join the wing on the workboard
two tips are 88mm higher than the working board (at the trailing edge of the wing)
Put Paper Adhesive Sticker on the joint of the wing bottom, and glue the wing with 6min epoxy on the platform.
bond the wing with fiberglass and 30min epoxy
bond the carbon cloth into the wing. 30min epoxy is recommended
bond the carbon cloth for finger peg
when epoxy is solidify, cut the hole on the carbon
join the wing on the fuselage, check hole is right or not
Drill 4mm screw holes
install the finger peg
Drill hole on the rear part of the fuselage, preparing for the linkage of the tail
sand the end of the fuselage
Assemble the wing on the fuselage, temporarily join the fuselage and boom
Bond the fuselage and the tail boom with 30min epoxy
Rotate the tail boom, make sure the stabilizer is horizontal
Waiting for the solidify
turn the receiver power on, and servo come back to zero position
drill hole on the servo mount, and install the servo with screw
cut 4 pieces 5mm balsa
drill hole
and glue the balsa and tube with ZAP C.A
cut the balsa as the photo
install the tube with steel wire
glue the tube balsa on the servo mount with C.A (ZAP)
cut the horn
cut slot on the rudder
and on the elevator
insert the horn, and adjust to appropriate position
straighten the tube , and bond the end of the tube with Adhesive Sticker
cover the tube with table
turn the receiver power on
Make a Z bend on the wire with pliers. Reinstall the horns with wires connected .
Power on the receiver, center the servo
glue the horns on the control surface with fast glue
fix the horn with 30min epoxy
ok , stay mini in car all the time
